The first one I did was for the record label Spilt MilkRecords After that one for the club which I started playing for: RugbyTableTennisClub Then I did one for The Retards when they were young. Spilt Milk Making records For over 30 years I've run a small record label releasing (mostly) vinyl records, of music I enjoyed listening to; a made by friends for friends thing. The first release was an LP by Scarecrow, labelled a progressive rock group in the late 70's. Scarecrow had the misfortune to have three unreleased studio LP's. They were fronted by a brilliant singer/songwriter and also included one of my all time favourite electric guitarists. The LP was in a wrap around silk screen printed sleeve - based on Mike Absalom's amazing Vertigo LP wrap around sleeve. The Scarecrow LP, like Mike Absalom's, has reputedly changed hands for over £200 in Japan. Since then I've made a few other recordings available two 7" mini-LP's running at 33.3rpm and a compilation LP of local, to Rugby, groups. The label's site also has a link to "Charlie's Record Sale" where some old records & rock memorabilia which I do not need are on offer. Send a wants list if you like!
